Best pajamas for HOT moms— 5 perimenopause approved pajamas for women

Here’s the thing, once you are out of postpartum you’re headed towards perimenopause (I hate to be the one to tell you, although that’s what I’m here for!). There will be some changes. One is that your body temp is literally off the wall. You’re hot, you’re cold, one leg is out of the covers, one leg is in. For me, it was between cycles that I’d be a sweating nightmare. I had to leave an extra set of pajamas in the bathroom to change into during the middle of the night. There was no solve (other than getting out of perimenopause) but I did learn that good sheets, blankets and pajamas were the win. With the right, natural fabrics, at least my body could breathe and the sweat didn’t sit on my skin until morning. Bamboo was dreamy, I switched to it in sheets and pajamas. For you it may be different, but here are the pajamas I swore by for perimenopause (and still wear today).

Best bamboo pajamas for women

Cozy Earth Bamboo Stretch-Knit Pajama Set

Cozy Earth Bamboo Pajamas for women

I sometimes ask where I’d be without these! The breathable, lightweight bamboo fabric naturally helps prevent overheating while still feeling cozy and soft against the skin. The moisture-wicking material promotes airflow and reduces that “too hot, then too cold” feeling that can interrupt sleep. I used to feel sweat sitting on me, but these lift it away.

Made of a cloud-soft cotton gauze, these are great for hot sleepers. They always feel like vacation (maybe it’s on my mind?!?). They are lightweight, breathable and have an open, airy weave that encourages airflow. It’s hard to find all cotton anything these days, but these pj’s are it.

Best washable silk pajamas for women

You might not think silk for sweat, but yes! By nature, silk has a cool touch and wicks away moisture unlike cotton which absorbs it. Silk acts as a natural thermostat— keeping you cool in the heat and warm in the cold. Plus this is washable silk, because we don’t hand wash anymore.

Best shorts set pajamas for women

Room Service Dakota Pajama Set

Buttery soft rayon spandex jersey that’s breathable, stretchy, and made for warmer nights (which has nothing to do with summer at this age). There are tons of prints to choose from— we love the colors and patterns which all provide enough coverage if the doorbell rings, while keeping it light at night for sleeping.

Best lightweight cotton pajamas

Eileen West Cotton Pointelle Capri Pajama

Woven from soft 100% cotton wavy pointelle, this cami and capri PJ set is as sweet as it is breathable. I’ve been an Eileen West lover for years, their delicate white nightshirts are dreamy, and this set offers family friendly coverage with a lightness we need every. single. day.

Best pajamas for menopausal women

Adult women need pajamas that are simple. Do not even think of giving us itchy embellishments or anything with tags. They’ll drive you mad during peri and full-blown menopause.
